Tipping Point Communications – a full service communications agency founded 12 years ago – has made the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce’s Top 100 list ranking companies for the largest amounts of growth over a three-year period. The agency landed at No. 34 on the list.

Our New York State certified Women Owned Business was founded 12 years ago by Michelle Ashby and has grown to include teams in both Buffalo and Rochester, New York, as well as Cleveland, Ohio.

Tipping Point has been repeatedly recognized by its peers for its marketing, public relations, media buying and related work.

Ashby was recognized in 2014 by the Small Business Council of Rochester as its Business Person of the Year. Tipping Point President Barbara Pierce received the Sharleen M. Bruse Award from PRSA Rochester in 2013 for lifetime achievement.

The Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation recognized Tipping Point in 2016 for its ethical business practices and treatment of its employees. The agency also was recognized earlier this year as one of the largest marketing communications in Western New York by Buffalo Business First.

To be eligible for the Top 100, businesses must be privately held, headquartered in the nine-county Rochester region, and have earned at least $1 million in revenue in each of the three most recent fiscal years.

The list is based on revenue growth, and factors in both total dollar amount and percentage growth.
