Michelle Ashby is the founder and CEO of Tipping Point Communications, a New York State certified WBE and national WBENC since 2005,providing proactive and data-driven solutions to create authentic connections that help brands find their spark.
Ms. Ashby has over 25 years of advertising and management, promotional and grassroots marketing experience. She is a media maven, through and through. Much of her time is invested in leading and coaching the Tipping Point team, studying up on emerging marketing trends, and connecting business owners to resources and professionals that propel their organizations forward.
She is formally educated in Journalism and Advertising and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University in Athens, OH. After 15 years in the media business, Michelle moved into the agency world. Her passion for the industry propelled her desire to start an agency of her own in Rochester and Buffalo, New York with a remote workforce across the East Coast.
Michelle was recognized for outstanding community service and leadership by the Rochester Business Journal as a "Forty Under 40" recipient in 2006 and Business Person of the Year in2014. Tipping Point received the "Ethie Award" in 2016 for their commitment to ethics in business. She serves on the board of the Construction Exchange of Buffalo, the CEL Alumni Association of the University ofBuffalo, St. Ann's Community, and is on the advisory board for the Roland Williams Champion Academy and marketing committee for the Buffalo chapter of Habitat for Humanity. She has two active sons who are the light and loves of her life.
